Juggling events in Ireland (Éire), 2007
Friday, 2007-11-09 to Sunday, 2007-11-11
The (6th?) Tralee Juggling Convention will take place on the weekend of 9/10/11 of November this year. The programme will be much the same as last year's. Pub friday night, practice in KDYS hall on saturday and sunday. Show in Siamsa Tire theatre Saturday afternoon (5ish). This year as a response to a request for more juggling space the Renegade venue (huge fancy room in hotel) will be open straight after the show (7ish saturday) for juggling before the renegade kicks off.
Video from last year's convention:
Fri 9th: Meet up in Greyhound Bar beergarden (go through main bar) Pembroke St. Tralee for DJ's, band and juggling for the obsessive!
Sat 10th: KDYS hall, Denny st. Tralee opens 9am for juggling, workshops and associated lunacy.
Siamsa Tire Theatre 5pm Circus Siamsa (see press release)
Brandon Hotel main hall: Opens 7pm for more juggling, renegade show 9pm and DJ/band after.
Sun 11th: KDYS hall opens 9am (for those brave early souls) for more fun and
games, 3pm, across the road in the town park.
Circus Siamsa Press release:
Fanzini Brothers Present, in association with Tralee Circus Festival, Circus Siamsa.
Join the Fanzini Brothers on the 10th November at 5pm for a celebration of modern circus culture. Fanzini Brothers will host some of the most exciting national and international acts of the 21st century circus scene.
Don't miss Circus Siamsa, a one-off, matinee show for all the family featuring hand-picked performers from Denmark, Germany, UK and Ireland and bear witness to an emerging, exciting art form. Antics include a man inside a balloon, acrobatics up high, comedy summersaults, cigar box manipulation, 9ft unicycle, and a GAA juggling allstar!
"It's circus Jim, but not as we know it."
Important notice: The renegade venue is not a bring your own drink venue. Last year they spotted carry out and said that if any carry out is brought to the venue this year they will shut the event down. So buy your booze from the bar and let\'s have an enjoyable renegade night.
A lot of jugglers have used the Town Centre Apartments, 066 7123456.
There is hostel accommodation next door to the convention space, Finnegans 066 7127610.
Well, that\'s it so far, looking forward to seeing ye all in Tralee.
