Remember the video of the chef making an omelette I posted a while ago? (video sadly now unavailable) Apparently that style of performance cooking is called Hibachi. I found an interesting episode of The Sporkful Podcast on the subject:

Why Hibachi is complicated
.

Starts off with a bit of history covering the who, what, when, where & why the style developed & ends up with a thought provoking discussion about audience expectations & the harm that can cause. Nothing particularly juggling related but will be of interest to those interested in performance & showmanship, & particularly the relationship between performer & the audience.

The Hibachi video you posted looked very similar to a cooking style called Teppanyaki. Similar audience participation and manipulation skills from the chef. Worth a search on YT.
